Auditions

  • See below for information about the upcoming auditions for the 2026-2027 Season.

  • Pre-registration is highly encouraged, but walk-in auditions are welcome.

  • Cold readings will be provided either before auditions or at the audition, at the directing team’s discretion.

  • For productions that include singing and/or dancing, vocal and choreography auditions will be included as part of the audition process.

  • If needed, callbacks will be held within a day or two of the last audition.

  • Casting decisions will generally be announced within one week of the final audition.

  • Anyone cast in a production who is not already a Member of Holland Community Theatre will be required to become a member. The membership fee is due at the first read-through.

Rehearsal Information:

Rehearsals will typically be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. 

Rehearsals start September 21.

There will be no dress rehearsal on Thanksgiving, but all cast members will be required to attend dress rehearsals earlier in the week (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, November 22-24, TBD on Wednesday, November 25 if deemed necessary.) 

Casting:

Cast Size: 20+ Roles (3 Male, 2 Female, 2 Any Gender, 13+ Ensemble)

Age Ranges: Ages 8+, there are roles for both children, teens and adults included in this production. If cast, all adults will be required to complete a Background Check.

We welcome and encourage performers of all experience levels, ethnicities, backgrounds, and identities to audition. Auditions will include cold reads directly from the script. For character descriptions and more info on casting see Character Info.

A Detective Red Mistletoe Mystery

Christmas is just around the corner, but the North Pole is in trouble—Santa is missing, the elves are losing their holiday spirit, and the world is turning shades of gray. With time running out, detective Red Mistletoe must crack the case, expose the culprits, and restore Christmas magic before the big day arrives. Packed with festive fun, colorful characters, clever comedy, and holiday heart, this merry mystery is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Please complete the Conflict Calendar with all dates you are unavailable during the rehearsal period. This information helps the production team plan the rehearsal schedule and work around cast conflicts whenever possible.

Casting:

Cast Size: 15+ Roles (14 Male, 1 Female, + Ensemble) - Genders and ages of some roles may be flexible depending on the audition pool.

Age Range: Ages 18+

A Few Good Men

When two young Marines stand accused in the death of a fellow serviceman, a reluctant Navy lawyer is assigned to defend them in what appears to be an open-and-shut case. As he digs deeper, questions of duty, loyalty, and honor begin to surface. Filled with gripping courtroom drama, sharp wit, and high-stakes tension, A Few Good Men challenges audiences to consider where the line is drawn between honor, duty, and personal responsibility.

Saturday, April 17 - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm The Audition Workshop is an optional opportunity for anyone interested in the Children’s Production to meet the directing team, play theatre games, get comfortable in the audition space, and learn what to expect from the audition process—especially helpful for those new to our theatre, while offering no advantage in the audition process to those who attend over those who do not.

Rehearsal Information:

Rehearsals will typically be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings 6:00-8:30 pm, beginning May 10. We will also have a First Read-Through and Form Handout on April 26. Depending on cast schedules, we may also add a couple of Saturday afternoon rehearsals as needed.

Casting:

Cast Size: Flexible cast of 22 (9 Male, 8 Female, 5 Either Gender) - Actors may be cast in roles traditionally written as another gender and will portray the character through appropriate costuming, hairstyle, mannerisms, and performance choices. We encourage students to audition for any role they feel excited to play.

Age Range: Ages 8-13
