More about HCT’s The Princess Who Had No Name – A young girl, played by Vivian Harris, wakes in the middle of the forest with no memory of who she is or how she got there. As she sets out to discover her identity, she crosses paths with some familiar characters from classic fairy tales, including a southern Snow White (Elsie Higginbottom), a thieving Goldilocks (Lucy Wiersma), and a not-so-sneaky Rumpelstiltskin (Ezra Blom). Each encounter brings her closer to uncovering the truth about herself, but also farther away from the Prince (Caleb Maat) who would love nothing more than to save her, but winds up saving every other princess along the way. This play is a whirlwind adventure full of mistaken identities, magical mix-ups, and plenty of punchlines. Come for the fairy tales, stay for the hilarious mix-ups, charming characters, and the sheer joy of young performers having a blast on stage!

In the words of director Sandra Griffin, “Putting together The Princess Who Had No Name has been equal parts delightful chaos and pure magic. With 34 wildly creative and energetic kids, things are always a little unpredictable—but that’s half the fun! Watching these young performers come together as a cast (and a crew!) has been amazing. Their families have jumped in to help with everything from costumes to set pieces—it’s truly taken a village to bring this fairy tale to life, and the result is a play full of joy and laughter.”
