More about HCT’s The Mousetrap – First performed in London’s West End in 1952 and still running today, The Mousetrap holds the record as the world’s longest continuously running play. Christie’s classic keeps audiences guessing until the final blackout, and HCT’s production promises just as many twists, turns, and surprises.
HCT’s cast features exciting newcomers bringing this thriller to life. Mollie and Giles Ralston, played by real-life couple Emily and Scott Murphy, open their guesthouse to a cast of unique characters. At Monkswell Manor, a remote country guesthouse, a snowstorm traps seven strangers—a slightly unhinged young man, a cantankerous older lady, a jolly ex-military man, a rather masculine young woman, and a mysterious Italian—one of whom is a murderer. As suspicions mount, tension rises to a shocking ending Christie famously asked audiences to keep secret.
Audiences are encouraged to keep the killer’s identity secret—just as Christie requested—so future theatregoers can be equally astonished. Don’t miss this rare chance to experience the artistry, suspense, and theatrical history of The Mousetrap right here in Holland.
“Our team has embraced the challenge of honoring Christie’s legacy while creating a fresh, visually striking experience for Holland audiences,” says director Tonya Tucker, a veteran director from Allegan making her HCT debut. “I’ve always loved Agatha Christie, and I’m thrilled to bring her brilliant storytelling—and her own fascinating life—into every detail of this production.”
